My West Coast Road Trip videos were going viral & people were asking for the itinerary. I wrote a blog post, but I wanted to have a travel map that showed the itinerary in a clear way. The thought of creating travel maps like larger creators crossed my mind but I was worried no one would buy them. Around the same time, the invitation to Steller’s Affiliate Program arrived and it was exactly what I & my viewers wanted.  

My viewers receive the trip itinerary maps for free and I receive a full $10 for every registration through my affiliate link. A win-win situation for everyone involved!  

My viewers are very interested in my Road Trip Itineraries, which is why it isn’t difficult to convince people to download the app. For example, I point out under each Reel that the exact travel route (including all landmarks, accommodations and food spots) is linked in the story highlights. In my Instagram stories, I first show a screenshot of the maps – it looks very impressive when you see all the destinations there. Then, in the same story, I describe exactly what people need to do to get the map and that it’s free. This way they know what to expect, hopefully exactly what brought you from the video to the story. And what’s more, Steller is free! So, there is hardly a barrier left to register with Steller. Anyone who is really interested in these routes will do so.  

The approach of “advertising” the trip maps at the top of every Iceland, West Coast and Alaska video turned out to be a great success!  

Success can be determined quite simply based on the download figures. I never thought this would be so well received or that so many people would download the maps via my links.  

However, the more people watch the videos, the more downloads and registrations I get through my links. It’s also a great success for me and nice to see what I can do to help and inspire people in their future travel planning. That’s the main reason I produce videos and posts in the first place.
